Office Api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll File Is Missing On Startup

When attempting to launch any Office application, an error occurs, stating that the api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll file is missing. This is caused by a missing or corrupt C++ Redistributable package.

[Solution 1] Install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package


  1. Download and install both versions of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package

    • x86 Version: http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/3/F/93FCF1E7-E6A4-478B-96E7-D4B285925B00/vc_redist.x86.exe
    • x64 Version: http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/3/F/93FCF1E7-E6A4-478B-96E7-D4B285925B00/vc_redist.x64.exe

  2. Restart the computer and all Office applications should be able to open again.
