When attempting to download and install apps from the Windows Store, error 0x80240438 occurs.
[Solution 1] Change the disableWindowsUpdateAccess value
- Open Run and execute Regedit
- Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \Software \Microsoft \Windows \CurrentVersion \Policies \WindowsUpdate.
- Change the DisableWindowsUpdateAccess REG_DWORD value from 1 to 0.
- Restart the computer and attempt to download apps from the Windows Store.
[Solution 2] Clear the Windows Store cache
- Close the Windows Store.
- Open Run and execute %localappdata%
- Open \Packages \Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe \Local cache.
- Delete all folders and files in this parent folder.
- Restart the Windows Store and attempt to download apps again.
